Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Chapter ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

You are invited to attend the 2017 Annual General Meeting of the GTA Chapter of the Retired Members Guild (RMG), which will feature a subsidized lunch and guest speakers.
Date: Friday, November 3, 2017
Registration and Lunch: 11:30 a.m.
Time: From noon to approximately 2:30 p.m.
Location: Katz's Deli and Corned Beef Emporium
3300 Dufferin Street, Toronto (west side of Dufferin St., just southwest of the Yorkdale Mall parking lot)
- There is plenty of free parking and the location is accessible by TTC – see map.
A $18 lunch subsidy is available to GTA RMG members for this event.
Guest Speakers:
Nancy Drynan, Leadership Volunteer, Outreach and Prevention, Canadian Cancer Society will speak on the subject of cancer prevention.
Lisa Bastien, Ontario Regional Representative of the Canadian Labour Congress will speak on the subject of proposed Bill C-27 which may lead to the erosion of defined pension benefits.
Michael Forbes, newly elected Ontario Regional Representative of the Retired Members Guild, will introduce himself and provide some inspirational thoughts.
A Q&A session will follow each speaker. Please join us as we discuss cutting-edge issues which are very relevant to retired members. This is your opportunity to stay in the loop! Renew old friendships. Make new ones.

- A moment of silence for our former President, the late Michael Seiden
- Regular Chapter business
- A discussion of Public Service Health Care Plan & Pensioners’ Dental Service Plan concerns
- Limits on benefits

- Members are encouraged to voice their concerns at the meeting
