PIPSC will join in PSAC to rally in downtown Nanaimo at noon on Wednesday, October 18 at 60 Front Street. A bus will pick up at PBC at 11:30am, returning at 1:10pm.
Federal public service workers are proudly committed to providing the services Canadians depend on. Yet thousands are still having financial troubles because they are not being paid correctly or on time.
October 18th is a federal government pay day and marks two years since the Liberal government was elected. Join federal government workers in Nanaimo to call on the government to fix the Phoenix pay system for good.
Remember folks, solidarity and support in numbers; even if you are not experiencing pay problems right now. If very few people show up, to MPs and Govt. and our Prime Minister that = must be very few problems. They use the lack of attendees to support that we are all content with our pay situation.
Similar rallies are planned on October 18 in Vancouver and Victoria – join in those if you are in the area.
