AV Group Subgroup Committee Report May 2018

BY-LAW 11 SUB-GROUPS 11.1 The Group Executive may appoint a Sub-group Coordinator. Their duties shall be to report to the Group Executive concerning the activities of the Sub-groups, liaise with the Sub-group Presidents, plan Sub-group Presidents’ Meetings and invite Sub-group Presidents; promote the role of the Sub-group; and perform other related duties in the maintenance of the Sub-groups.

In conjunction with our Regulations, R11.1 Each sub-group president should submit a report to the executive of the Group once a year. The report should contain the following information:

2017 was a great and 2018 continues for the expansion of the Group Subgroup’s. New markets such as Quebec City QC, Kingston ON, Victoria BC, rejuvenate Southern Ontario and the possibility of Montreal south shore are being reviewed with local stewards that are interested in the creation of subgroups. Many thanks to stewards Angela Cowie, Emily Beckerman, Patrick Whalen, Jacques Laperriere, Tommy Georgas for their desire to create a new subgroup in their region. You have the AV Group’s commitment and support to move forward.

In 2017, new subgroups are now established in North Vancouver BC, St. John’s NFLD., Moncton and Fredericton NB, and our newly minted Toronto subgroup.

I want to thank all members of the committee as this planning and strategic goal was a team effort.
