PIPSC AV subgroup - North Central Vancouver Island Branch Executive Committee Meeting: March 6, 2019. 9am

4. Treasurer's Report
   1. Financials for 2018 and budget for 2020 - accepted as information
   2. Approve expenditures for AGM (m/s JM, BT)
5. Old business
   1. Purchase of visibility items for AV subgroup for rallies - complete
   2. Publishing proceeds on the PIPSC website - complete http://www.pipsc.ca/groups/av/subgroups/av-north-central-vancouver-island
   3. New stewards - continue recruiting
   4. Phoenix - still affecting many staff.  Continue to support and monitor.
   5. EWSP session - June 28 - well attended, joint with SP subgroup and the branch.
   6. Fix Phoenix rally in Nanaimo – August 23 - well attended, joint with PSAC, BCGEU, media coverage
   7. Sept -Joint meeting with branch and subgroups in September - inaugural.  Good to share information and coordinate efforts
   8. Oct 3 lunch and learn with Rob MacDonald - well attended
   9. Oct 18 lunch and learn with Peter Gabriel - well attended
   10. Oct 19 BC/YK stewards caucus - made new connections
   11. Nov 11 - Pension info session - session went well
   12. AGM
       1. Elections for president, vice-president and secretary
          1. Elections committee - who?  needed?
       2. Invitations went out
       3. Monica/Jennifer coordinating the food
       4. Giveaways
       5. Action items for updating on:
          1. Bargaining update to include
             1. If PIPSC surveyed membership on sick leave
             2. If PIPSC collaborating with CAPE and PSAC on bargaining
       6. Ask Angela Cowie to give national and Victoria AV subgroup update

   1. WOW session coming up, raising issues to management
   2. Concern about wearing union clothing
   3. Funding for international labour day (May 1 - Wednesday), Public Service Week, and labour day (September)

   5. AV meeting in Ottawa
7. Next executive meeting: after AGM
