PIPSC London AFS Sub-Group Elections 2019 Call for Nominations
The current mandate for some of your London AFS Sub-Group Executive members will end at our Tuesday, May 7, 2019 Annual General Meeting. Therefore, our By-Laws require us to call for nominations. The successful candidates will be elected for three-year terms commencing at the end of our Tuesday, May 7, 2019 Annual General Meeting. Nominations are now invited for the following positions:
- President (one to be elected)
- Member-at-large (up to two may be elected)
To be a candidate a person must be a Regular Member in good standing of the London AFS Sub-Group and must be, or become, a steward. Voting will take place onsite at 451 Talbot Street and at our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
The “Nomination Form” is attached (see over). Nominations must be submitted in writing to any one of the following: Michelle Bricaire (519-645-5902), Wayne Cherry (519-636-2604), Suwas Nikumb (519-430-7058) or Peter Rodrigues (519-668-6423) by 4 pm, April 8, 2019. Candidates should contact any of one of the aforementioned persons to confirm receipt of their nomination form prior to the deadline.
If no nominations are received for an elected position by this deadline, then the deadline for nominations, for that position only, will be extended to the floor of our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
Small fliers with biographies and/or candidate comments for election purposes will be allowed on PIPSC bulletin boards until the day after our Annual General Meeting. All election posters must be approved by the Election Committee.
