On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, PIPSC NCR Indigenous Representative Greg Scriver, NCR member Kim Scriver, VP and HRDC Chair Katie Francis, and Advisor to the President Nick Pernal spent the day volunteering and carrying the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation’s National Memorial Cloth. This Cloth contains the names of over 5000 of the residential school children that did not return home. There are many children still missing, and the search for them continues. As PIPSC continues its reconciliation journey, we remember the children who were taken from their families, the survivors of the residential school system, and their loved ones. We dedicate ourselves, today and everyday, to continuing to learn the truth.
