Since this round of negotiations began, the demand for better pay for COs and PGs has been our number one issue. The employer has continuously rejected our claims regarding recruitment and retention issues. They have failed to recognize the full extent of the pay disparities facing COs and PGs.

A formal election complaint was filed, investigated and the election committee found that Mr. Peter Gabriel has committed two election offences. Mr. Gabriel purposely campaigned to get elected CP Group President during an employer’s event conducted on the employer’s network.

Your Bargaining Team met in Ottawa on June 12-14, 2023. Although this session was to be a continuation of the bargaining with the Employer, it was postponed. The next session of negotiations with the Treasury Board is scheduled for September 19-21.

Your Bargaining Team met with Treasury Board representatives on April 25, 26, & 27, 2023 in Gatineau, Quebec. The Employer showed an openness to the issues the Group brought to the table, by asking clarifying questions to try and better understand our position.
