You can remain a member of the Institute for just 8% of the regular dues!

Regular Members superannuating from the public service who elect to remain as Retired Members have no fees owing for the balance of the calendar year in which they retire. For the years following retirement, you can remain a Retired Member by paying a nominal yearly membership fee of just 8% of the Institute's Regular dues which means only $69.60 for the year!

As a Retired Member, you may continue to participate in various Institute activities!

  • you may stand for office, vote and participate in the activities of the Retired Members Guild
  • at the Institute level, you may vote for Officers and Directors, stand as a candidate for office, attend general meetings (even as a delegate if authorized by the Retired Members Guild or the Region in which you reside)
  • at the Group level, you may vote and participate in the activities of your former Group, although doing so may be limited by the Group's Constitution and By-Laws
  • you may vote and participate in the activities of the Branch to which you belong
