Hello everyone,
The Executives of your PIPSC Mauricie Branch and of your Shawinigan AFS Sub-Group invite you to meet in person and reconnect with your union at your 2024 Annual General Meeting, to be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at the Pêché Mignon restaurant in Trois-Rivières.
Jennifer Carr, President of the Institute, will report on the Institute’s various activities over the past year. Jean Couillard, AFS Québec regional representative and member of the bargaining team, and Pierre Potvin, President and Director of the Québec Region, will also be on hand to discuss national issues. Come join us and let’s talk about it!
Please confirm your attendance before March 14, 2024, by e-mail to smalenfant@pipsc.ca and vfs.shawinigan@pipsc.ca. A meal allowance will be given to the attending members. We will only be able to accommodate a total of 40 participants.
Notice of election – Mauricie Branch
Four Executive positions are up for election this year. To ensure continuity in the Executive, it is proposed that the positions of the Vice-President, of the Secretary and of two Directors be filled for a two-year term. These positions will be up for election at the 2024 Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Nominations may be submitted in writing up to the start of the 2024 AGM, or from the floor at the AGM. To run for a position, a candidate must be a regular member of the Mauricie Branch. All written nominations must be sent to Pierre Potvin, assistant returning officer, at ppotvin@pipsc.ca. A member whose nomination has been submitted in writing but who doesn’t expect to attend the Branch 2024 AGM must notify the assistant returning officer in writing.
Notice of Election – Shawinigan AFS Sub-Group
All Executive positions are up for election this year. To ensure continuity in the Executive, it is proposed that the positions of Vice-President and Secretary be filled for a one-year term, and that the positions of President and Treasurer be filled for a two-year term. Director positions for one- and two-year terms are also up for election. These positions will be up for election at the 2024 Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
