CCC Pay Equity Updates

Employer officials continue to work towards the autumn deadline for a pay equity plan at CCC.  Most recently, the committee has received the pay equity job descriptions (JD) written by an external consultant of CCC.  These JDs do not replace existing JDs.  Instead, they are used as a tool to better understand the work for the purposes of evaluating the job under pay equity.  Members are encouraged to work with their HR Business Partner to ensure the pay equity JD generally reflects the most important aspects of your work. 

Concurrently, PIPSC and employer representatives at the pay equity committee are determining the value of job classes as the next step in delivering a pay equity plan for review. Some additional steps are needed before the committee will be ready to post the draft plan for sixty days in order to solicit  CCC employee feedback.  The law requires this work to be completed by an autumn 2024 deadline unless an extension is granted.
