A tentative agreement was signed with the CFIA, completing this round of negotiations. We again thank all the members of the CFIA-IN Group for their support in getting to a deal!
This agreement must now be ratified by the CFIA-IN membership. An electronic vote will be held in order to ratify this agreement.
The bargaining team unanimously recommends the acceptance of this tentative agreement.
All regular members in good standing will receive voting instructions by email. Please ensure your membership information is up to date.
The voting will be open from October 5, 2020, to October 15, 2020, at 12:00 PM (noon) ET.

A Yes vote means: You are accepting all of the changes proposed in the tentative agreement. Those changes will take place at the date of the signing (except as otherwise noted) and the employer will have a period of 180 days to implement salary changes and retroactive pay. Parental leave changes will take place on a designated date after the signing and agreed to between the CFIA and PIPSC.
A No vote means: You reject the tentative agreement and instruct the Bargaining Team to take additional measures, up to and including job action or taking the necessary steps to be in a legal strike position.
