To all CS Group members,

Your CS Group Executive and CS Bargaining Team have been busy preparing for the upcoming round of negotiations.  In November the teams participated in Bargaining Training where through lessons, brainstorming, and simulations they learned about the bargaining process. On December 1st and 2nd, 2021, the CS Group Executive and Bargaining Team met to begin work on the proposals that will be submitted this round.

On December 10, 2021, the CS Group served the Treasury Board a notice to bargain and indicated that we would exchange proposals on February 4th, 2022.  We also noted that our selection for a dispute resolution mechanism will be Binding Arbitration.  This is an alternative to the Conciliation/Right to Strike mechanism that we have used over the last several rounds.

The CS Group Executive and Bargaining Team met on January 12th-14th, 2022 to complete our work on the proposals.  We have scheduled bargaining sessions with the Treasury Board in February and April.

The CS Sub-Groups will take on the leadership in involving you, the members, in showing support for our negotiations and the efforts of your bargaining team. It is the strength of your support that provides the power in those negotiations. Thank you in advance for your continued involvement.

In Solidarity,

Robert Scott

CS Group Bargaining Officer
