To all proud IT Group members,

Your bargaining team met with the employer for the sixth session of negotiations from November 1 to 3, 2022. Enhanced flexibility on hours of work, Extra Duty pay, Overtime, CSSDA, and Career Development were further discussed. The IT group withdrew a proposal on Change of work schedule and the employer withdrew their proposal to delete Appendix B of the collective agreement.

As indicated in the last update, the IT Group tabled its complete pay proposal to the Treasury Board:

2021       General Economic Increase         3.4% + 1.5% Parity

Market Adjustment        Pay scales update – remove bottom step and add new top step to each IT level and apply an immediate step up

2022       General Economic Increase         8%

                                Market Adjustment        7%

2023       General Economic Increase         6.9%

This pay proposal addresses parity, the cost of living including inflation, comparators to other IT workers and recruitment and retention issues within the group.

Our next bargaining session will be held December 13-15, 2022. We have tentatively scheduled 3 sessions for the new year which we will confirm in December.
