IT Group Special Executive Meeting

Present: Stan Buday, Pierre Touchette, Yvonne Snaddon, Deb Butler, Rob Scott, Tony Goddard, Stéphane Aubry, Lucille Shears, Karim Chaganni, JP Leduc (staff)

Stan welcomed everyone and explained the reason for calling this meeting on short notice. As all are now aware, Robert Tellier has submitted, and we have accepted, his resignation from the IT Group Executive.
While we are not limited by our bylaws to a predefined selection process, it was the consensus that we should give full consideration to the next two (2) candidates from the last IT Group elections. The current executive will vote, by secret ballot submitted to JP Leduc, on the candidates: Gordon Bulmer and Denis Caissy.
Yvonne raised the possibility of revising our Group bylaws to tighten up the method(s) of selecting a replacement executive member when a position is vacant.
All executives were instructed to send an email indicating their choice to JP no later than 17h00 on Monday, 27 February 2023.
With all the current business being concluded, the meeting adjourned.

JP Leduc reported to the IT Group Executive that the voting results produced a tie between the two candidates for the executive position. With Stan Buday and Pierre Touchette as witnesses, JP conducted a coin toss and Denis Caissy was declared the successful candidate.
