We’d like to notify you that a strike vote will be held between Friday, June 13, 2025, and Thursday, June 19, 2025.
Why a Strike Vote?
After bargaining efforts with the employer, we have not been able to reach a tentative agreement that meets the fair and reasonable expectations of our members. The key outstanding issue is fair pay. Despite our efforts to negotiate in good faith, the employer has not made meaningful progress on this core issue.
A strike vote does not mean an immediate strike. Rather, it provides the union with the direction to call for a strike if one becomes necessary. This vote is a critical tool that strengthens our bargaining position by demonstrating our collective resolve and unity. We are holding this vote now to demonstrate to the Employer your resolve to reach a fair deal with the employer.
How to Vote
Voting will take place through PIPSC’s online voting system. Members will receive detailed instructions by email on how to cast their ballot closer to the voting period.
Voting Period:
- Opens: Friday, June 13, 2025, at 9:00 AM
- Closes: Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 5:00 PM
