Call for participation for the next round of bargaining

The RO/RCO group executive has begun preparations for the next round of bargaining and are calling out for volunteers to serve on the RO/RCO bargaining team. While some seats are reserved for members of the executive, there is an opportunity for some of you to be part of this team and help us make a difference by improving working conditions for all ROs and RCOs. Although the participation requires a significant time commitment and some basic training from PIPSC, this is a great opportunity to learn about the needs of your colleagues and NRC.

The executive aims to build a bargaining team representative of the RO/RCO group in terms of geography and employment type (e.g. research, project management, business development, IRAP, etc.) in addition to other equity, diversity and inclusion considerations to ensure concerns and needs from across NRC are voiced. Priority will thus be given to applications ensuring adequate representation of said diversity.

If you are interested, please send an email to rorco@pipsc.ca by November 12th, 2021, with a short paragraph describing why you are interested in this opportunity and what relevant skills and/or experience you would bring to the team.

Better together!

Cathy Cheung
RO/RCO Group President, PIPSC
