We are pleased to share an important update regarding your collective agreement. As you know, your RCMP CM Bargaining Team reached a tentative agreement with the RCMP and the Treasury Board in March 2025. This agreement was ratified by RCMP Civilian Members on May 6 and by the Treasury Board in late June.
We are happy to confirm that PIPSC and TBS signed the agreement on July 30, 2025. With this final step completed, the implementation date has been set for November 27, 2025.
Your current terms and conditions of employment will continue to apply until that date. On November 27, the transition to the 37.5-hour work week and access to new leave entitlements—such as personal leave days and the one-time vacation adjustment—will begin.
One important item to keep in mind: the 4 personal leave days provided under the new agreement must be used between November 27, 2025, and March 31, 2026 (the end of the fiscal year). These days will not carry over, so we encourage all members to plan ahead and make full use of them before they expire.
In terms of vacation accrual, November 26, 2025, will be the key date for determining your current vacation entitlement. The Employer has committed to maintaining each member’s vacation leave credit rate as of that date. This entitlement will remain in place until you reach your next anniversary threshold under the public service calendar. For more details, please refer to Part II of the ratification package.
We look forward to this next phase, which brings greater predictability and stability for all CMs. We will continue to keep you informed as we move through the implementation process. Thank you for your ongoing support and patience throughout this important and lengthy journey.
