Late in the fourth quarter of bargaining, your RE bargaining team met with the employer June 5, 6 and 7 at PIPSC HQ. With home court advantage and minimal fouls, we concluded negotiations and “scored” a Tentative Agreement with the employer.
Coming soon, we’ll be providing you the complete list of changes in both official languages. We’ll present our “wins” this round by telephone town halls and some in person events, and then have you vote on the proposed changes to the collective agreement. We’re proud of the work we’ve done, and I’m sure you’ll agree with us that we’ve “hit the shot”.
Finally, we’re tentatively scheduling our online ratification vote to conclude by the end of July, so we can have these victories solidified over the summer.
