As of December 31, 2024, there were 34,621 victims of fraud and $638M lost to fraud in Canada alone. Because retired persons and seniors are often targeted for fraud, the RMG-NCR Chapter is pleased to invite you to a presentation on Fraud Prevention.

The session will be given by Stephanie Senecal, Senior Support Coordinator, of the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC), partners with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Ontario Provincial Police.
During the presentation, Stephanie will talk about:
• Who the CAFC is and what they do
• The top solicitation methods
• The tools of the fraudsters
• The top reported frauds
• How to report fraud
• What to do if you’re a victim of a scam/fraud/phishing/identity theft.
This presentation will take approximately 1 hour, followed by a 30 minute period for questions and answers. Coffee/tea/beverages and snacks will be provided. Mileage and parking are your responsibility. Parking in the lot next to PIPSC is $1.50 per 30 minutes or $6 for two hours.
For those who cannot attend in person, the presentation will also be available on Zoom.
