SH Group Members,
Your bargaining team met with the employer for our fourth session of negotiations from June 20 to 22, 2023. We continued discussions on several articles including Designated paid holidays, CSSDA, Contracting out, Technological change, Health and Safety, and more.
Most importantly, we tabled our complete pay proposals with the Treasury Board. Our proposals included general economic increases with a strong focus on pay parity for our many classifications, and increased allowances. Our proposals intend to address the cost of living and the significant pay disparity issues affecting our members. The specifics of our proposals can be found here.
We met with the Employer again on July 18 to 20th, 2023. We received a partial counter proposal from Treasury Board and expect to receive the employer’s full counter pay proposal at our next meeting in September.
