Select members of the SH Bargaining Team participated in the Canadian Health Coalition’s Health and Hope Lobby Events on Parliament Hill on March 28th. We met several Members of Parliament and Senators and discussed important topics such as our significant pay gaps when compared to our provincial colleagues and pharmacare.
Our bargaining meetings planned for March 28-30th were canceled by Treasury Board on March 22nd due to illness. SH Bargaining Team members still met on March 29- 31, 2023 to continue our work on our monetary proposals and membership engagement strategies.
Treasury Board has since appointed a new negotiator to their team and our meetings previously planned for May and June now need to be reconfirmed.
