On May 2nd and 3rd, 2023 members of the Bargaining Team for the SH Group met with Treasury Board and their new negotiator Martin Hamel. During these meetings, each side again reviewed the contents of the non-monetary proposals for the benefit of the new TBS members and had an opportunity to ask clarifying questions.
Minor administrative issues were reviewed and amended as agreed by both parties.
Our next meetings with the Employer will be in June 2023 where we will exchange our monetary proposals. Our aim is to bargain for a compensation package that is appropriate and better aligned with the high valued work performed by our group of qualified health professionals and with what our provincial colleagues are remunerated. We will negotiate for recognition of our professional development and licensing requirements as well as better work-life balance. The specifics of our proposal will only be shared after the exchange with the Employer and once available in both official languages.
Additional meetings with the Employer have also been secured for July and September.
