· Issue with Canada Life and Health/Dental coverages was brought up:
o Poor communications with what generic drugs are being covered and what being substituted compared to previous plan and still have issues with implementation with what medications being covered. Delays in getting claims approved. Canada life has promised to increase staffing so assessment of a claim is not delayed beyond what is promised. Members are upset with PIPSC regarding this matter. For members still having issues, email Jennifer Carr to bring to her attention of issues with the medical/dental plan.

2. Topic suggestion for Bryan: “How can Patent Examiners get something for us in the collective agreement as the ACs and MTs did this round”.
· Discussed donation to the Ottawa Food Bank for 2023 as was done in 2022.
Action: Marcel to check with PIPSC if we can still donate to Ottawa Food Bank. If still allowable, Marcel will follow-up with Mary.
· Marcel also mentioned holding more in person drop in coffee & donuts L&L sessions in 2024.
· Discussed what events the 50 Victoria St. Group can hold for its members like other subgroups have done (i.e., dinner with a presentation).
Action: Marcel to check with other subgroups in the region the process they used to do their reservations for such events.
Action: Reg put a discussion topic for next meeting, ideas for events for 50 Victoria St. sub-group members in winter/spring 2024 (i.e., hot coffee on the Rideau Canal).
5. OSH Committee
· Marcel is the representative on the OSH committee. One back-up union member is required to attend the OSH Committee meetings if Marcel is unavailable. One-hour meetings are held once every month (last Wednesday of the month). Members can claim time off in ATRS for these meetings. Marcel will mention this at the AGM also. Specifically, a PIPSC member from the Competition Bureau would be preferred.
· Discussed if technically everything is ready for the AGM. Marcel has discussed with Maria how things were handled last year.
Action: Marcel to tag someone from the executive group within the next 2 weeks to test the system and make sure everything works ok. Marcel will also send out a list of polling questions to the executive group to make sure nothing was missed.
