- Speakers Presentations: 6:30 – 7:30 pm
We will have Brian Van Wilgenberg, President SP Sub-Group, to speak to the issues that concern you, such as transition back to the workplace, Phoenix, Sick Leave, GC WorkPlace, and answer any questions that you may have.
Registration of your attendance with your membership number is required by Friday, October 7th, 2022 at spvansubgroup@gmail.com. Registrants after October 7th, 2022, cannot be guaranteed that a meal is available. Confirmation of your registration will be sent to you. If after registering for the AGM you are no longer able to attend, please notify us at spvansubgroup@gmail.com so that the meal can be cancelled.
Elections for the Vancouver SP Sub-Group Executive will be held at the AGM. Up to three (3) positions are available and the term of office is for 2 years. Being on the Executive is a great way to contribute to professional science in Canada and also a personal development opportunity. Nominations close at the meeting. If you expect to be absent, please e-mail your nomination form (attached) to Denis Semail, Chair, Elections Committee at spvansubgroup@gmail.com or send to the PIPSC Regional Office by Friday, October 7th, 2022.
Anyone wishing to propose changes to the Vancouver SP Sub-Group’s Constitution and By-Laws (e.g., the election procedures) are welcome to do so. The Constitution and By-Laws outline the requirements that need to be met with respect to any proposed changes to the same. Any proposed changes to Constitution and By-Laws need to meet with the approval of the PIPSC By-Laws Committee and approval of the PIPSC Board of Directors.

The SP Group includes members with the following classification: Actuary (AC), Agriculture (AG), Biologist (BI), Chemist (CH), Forester (FO), Meteorologist (MT), Physical Scientist (PC), Scientific Regulation (SG) and Patent Examination (PAT).
For this AGM there are 9 positions available on the Vancouver SP Sub-Group Executive. The term of office is for two (2) years.
