Your PIPSC WRH RT Bargaining Team is pleased to share the details of the tentative agreement reached with the hospital which will have an expiry date of September 30, 2025.
Your bargaining team was successful in securing several key gains, and important pay increases that serve to address the concerns that our members have brought up to our bargaining team, including through the bargaining survey.
Rates of Pay
Effective October 1, 2019 – Additional increase to rates of pay: 1.75%
Effective October 1, 2020 – Additional increase to rates of pay: 1.75%
Effective October 1, 2021 – Additional increase to rates of pay: 1.75%
Effective October 1, 2022 – Additional increase to rates of pay: 4.75%
Effective September 1, 2023 – Additional increase to rates of pay: 1.75%
Effective October 1, 2023 – Additional increase to rates of pay: 3.50%
Effective October 1, 2024 – Additional increase to rates of pay: 3.00%
In addition to the rates of pay, we achieved several other financial gains, including gains to the benefit package, a lump sum payment of $1750 for all active full-time employees who were employed as of August 13, 2020 (This amount will be pro-rated for part time employees.), SUB pay top up for part time employees on pregnancy and parental leaves.
In addition to the financial aspects, the bargaining team was able to secure provisions around professional development, including a fixed amount of professional development funds available to each member, and language to allow for greater access to the associated leave.
