Both the WTEG and WPEG bargaining teams met in September to do a complete review of the outstanding items in this round of negotiations.
Pay and premiums are the largest issues still to be resolved. Career and skills development for WPEG and remote work for WTEG are yet to be finalized as well.
In preparation, our union will be working with the employer to establish the Maintenance of Service Agreement (MSA). The MSA lists all of the essential personnel in the event of any workplace action. This is a requirement that is completed in the process of negotiations. In addition, the teams are reviewing previously completed agreements by other bargaining units at CNL.
The next session is October 11 and 12 in Winnipeg. Thank you all for your continued support.
In solidarity,
The WPEG and WTEG bargaining teams, PIPSC
