From May 5 to 9, we are highlighting Emergency Preparedness Week, Mental Health Week, and Safety and Health Week
Colleagues,
We invite you to participate in the various activities to highlight these important themes. The tools highlighted during these thematic weeks are valuable for protecting and supporting mental and physical health in the workplace year-round.
We would also like to highlight the importance of keeping your emergency contact information up to date. No matter where you're working—on-site, in the field, or remotely— it's essential that your manager can reach you or your designated contact in case of an emergency. Please make sure to review and update your emergency contacts regularly in MyGCHR, at least once a year, and inform your manager of any changes.
Remember to take a moment to ensure you’re prepared in case of an emergency and stay up to date on the latest weather information using our WeatherCAN application or by visiting www.weather.gc.ca.
Refresh your knowledge by taking mandatory occupational health and safety training, and explore ECCC’s Mental Health & Wellness Centre for tools, resources, and support on mental health and wellness.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of employees is a top priority for our department.
Thank you for your efforts in supporting a safe and healthy work environment.
