After facing challenges securing dates for our next meetings with the Treasury Board, members of the Bargaining Team for the SH Group finally secured meetings on February 28 and Mar 1, 2023.
SH Bargaining Team members met on Feb 27th, 2023 for a preparatory meeting. During this meeting the SH Bargaining Team were briefed and discussed the latest developments related to current bargaining landscape. Time was then dedicated to establishing goals for the next 2 days of meetings with the Treasury Board.
On Feb 28 & Mar 1, 2023 members of the Bargaining Team for the SH Group met with Treasury Board for our second meeting to date. During these meetings, non-monetary proposals were reviewed and clarification questions were posed. Time was spent highlighting the uniqueness of the SH group, explaining the importance of self-regulated health professionals and how SH members are accountable to both the employer’s mandates but also their professional standards and how that looks for our 11 various professions represented within our SH group.

Our week concluded with a full day of meeting with PIPSC mobilization team on Mar 2 piecing together important strategies to support bargaining and member engagement. More information on ways you can support your Bargaining Team to come! Please stay tuned!
