Since the end of 2022, your bargaining team has been working hard to develop our demand package, translating your input into actions. In January 2024, your NRC-LS Group Bargaining Team met with NRC management representatives over six days at the bargaining table to get you the best collective agreement possible.
I am pleased to share with you that we now have a signed tentative agreement.
We are happy and proud to report that we made some great strides in improving your working conditions.
Here are some highlights of our major gains:
- 13 % increase in pay over 4 years
- $2,500 signing bonus
- A new letter of agreement on telework
- And other gains, including improved access to domestic violence leave, the addition of bereavement leave for stillbirth, and leave for traditional Indigenous practices
Full details of the agreement will be provided in a ratification package, which, once translated, will be posted to our group page and emailed to you. We will also host information sessions to discuss the details of this tentative agreement and answer any questions you might have.
The voting period will be opened once you receive the tentative agreement. Your bargaining team recommends voting “YES” to the deal. The finish line is finally in sight, and we need your support and solidarity to carry us across it.
Please keep an eye on your email for updates and next steps!
In solidarity,
Tracy Minkus and Derek Smith
