The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada

Hello WTEG members,

Your bargaining team, along with the WPEG team, prepared, presented and responded to non-monetary and monetary packages on Oct 21-24. WTEG and the company have come to an agreement on a few non-monetary topics. We continued to negotiate with the company on other proposals and will deliver more monetary packages, relating to term and economic salary adjustment to the company at a later date.

As the negotiations proceed, your team is committed to post updates after each bargaining session. Based on this week, your bargaining team is hopeful for the future negotiation sessions, as things are proceeding quickly. Your negotiation team will continue developing better agreements for our fellow workers as we are back at the table with the company on Nov 18th to 22nd.

The WTEG AGM is scheduled for Oct 30th and we hope to see everyone there. You should have received an email invitation with further details and please contact the executive team if you need more information. In addition, we will be holding elections for our executive at the AGM. If you are interested, we will call for nominations at the beginning of the meeting.

If you have any questions, concerns or issues you would like brought up during the negotiations, please contact any member of your bargaining team.

In solidarity,

Mike Fitkowsky, Neal Schultz, Nolan Weselak, Richard Abraham, Calvin Bruneau, Steven Tresidder, Ian Hammond.
