IT Ottawa West Sub-Group (ITOWSG) are hosting a virtual event for members on “The Role of a Well-Structured Insurance Plan”.
Being employed in the Government of Canada one of the benefits is the employer group benefits such as -
- disability insurance,
- health/drug plans, and
- defined benefit pensions.
These defined plans are great as long as the pensioner is alive, and they don't even require any personal effort to manage. But did you know that the federal plan is cut by 50% for the surviving spouse on death of the pensioner?
There a solution? Yes indeed, people need Insurance diversification by having different insurances to cover off the different risks that could jeopardize their financial future.
