NAV Canada Bargaining Update – March 2019
The PIPSC NAV CANADA Group bargaining team was in bargaining preparation from Wednesday March 20 to March 22, 2019 in Gatineau, Quebec. During these three productive days the team reviewed the survey results to date along with complaints and grievances that arose since 2017 to begin establishing our bargaining priorities for this round.
Up to date, over 80% of our members provided feedback and comments to the team. We appreciate the time spent by our members to fill out the survey as the positive and constructive comments are a key element used for setting priorities.
Our collective agreement expires on April 30, 2019. Pierre Ouellet, our PIPSC negotiator, will be filing notice to bargain with the employer in the next coming weeks in accordance with PART I, DIVISION IV of the Canada Labor Code. Once the notice is filed, the parties will have twenty days to meet and commence bargaining. We will keep you informed on this exercise and all other activities regarding this round of bargaining by sending you regular Hot Shot bulletins after each event.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail (msimard@pipsc.ca) or by phone at 613-761-2891.
Thanks
