NUREG Bargaining Update # 5 – NUREG Members Ratify Tentative Agreement
We are pleased to announce that the NUREG group has voted in favour of the new collective agreement!
Just as we have completed our ratification process, the employer is concurrently engaging in its ratification process. This involves both receiving a non-objection letter from Treasury Board Secretariat, and Governor-In-Council approval from Cabinet.
Once CNSC has ratified the agreement, it will be signed. CNSC will then have 180 days to implement the collective agreement, excluding retroactive payments. For these payments, CNSC must implement most payments in 180 days and has up to 560 days to implement retroactive payments in cases where manual intervention is required.
