Call to Order

Susan announced quorum and called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. The results for the elections to positions on the AFS Group Executives were announced by the election committee.

Muhammad Alam was elected as a Headquarters Regional Representative and he takes office commencing September 16, 2020. Susan congratulated Muhammad.

Brian explained the reason for the meeting. 

He congratulated Muhammad for replacing Brian as a AFS HQ Representative. He also thanked all candidates for running for this position. 

Brian explained the By-Laws requirements in relation to the Muhammad’s AFS-SG HQ executive position as a Vice President (VP).

Election Committee: Lee Cunningham. 

Susan provided a telephone number to all AFS-SG HQ-Executives to vote electronically.

Nominated members: 

Michael Kenny,

Abraham Garcia.

After making statements by the candidates and voting, Lee Cunningham announced that Abraham Garcia won the election. 

After executives voting, Abraham Garcia was appointed as the Interim VP of the AFS-SG HQ. Brian congratulated and thanked all candidates. Abraham has been appointed by the executives until the time of the AGM election - when the position is up for the election.  

There was no other discussion with respect to the election.

Michael proposed to nominate Michael Patterson as a Member at Large to fill up now vacant Abraham’s position. Seconded by Abraham. Motion passed.

All agreed to have next meeting being organised as any important issues will come up.

Abraham moved and Domingo seconded for the meeting to be adjourned. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 a.m.
