Approval of Agenda 

Discussion regarding the agenda.  

No agenda was sent out for this meeting which was scheduled to discuss the ORC.

Yvonne asked to add two more issues to the agenda:

1. Notice of meetings

2. Agenda

John asked to add to add Steward Council.

Din asked to prioritize Yvonne’s points.

Motion to approve the meeting agenda.

Motion: ORE meetings should be scheduled by Doodle poll a minimum of three weeks in advance.

Motion: ORE meetings be scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 10am.

New Business – ORC and Steward Council

ORC – Din gave a recap of the previous meeting discussion (virtual or in person or a combination of both) at June 11, 2021.

John was to solicit the Branch Presidents for input.

The BOD has ruled that ORC be virtual. Any discussion by the ORE to do otherwise is now moot.

Motion: ORE gave direction to John Purdie to move forward with a virtual ORC.

We had previously been set for a Hybrid as October 22, 23 2021 at the previous meeting. Which is now moot.

Motion: ORC to be set virtually for Friday October 29, 2021.

Guest speakers for the ORC was discussed.  

ORE directed John Purdie to prepare and present the ORC agenda at the next ORE meeting.

Motion: ORE give Peter Gilkinson direction bring the issue of salaries for part time VP forward at the next BOD meeting in July.

OSC - initial planning discussion.

Tom Z is planning the Steward Council for the second week in September 2021. (September 17/18)

Motion: Peter Gilkinson to bring the question to the BOD for clarification whether virtual or in-person OSC is mandated.

Next ORE meeting will be set for the fourth week of July, and a doodle poll will be sent out today to select the date.  (Peter has the BOD meeting in the third week of July and can bring a report to our meeting).
