You’re invited: Tree planting ceremony to celebrate PIPSC

As part of PIPSC's 100th anniversary we are partnering with Tree Canada to plant 125 trees. You and your family are invited.

When: Friday October 29, 2021
Time: 10:30 AM ET – 12:30 PM ET
Where: Westacre Park, 2165 Breezy Brae Dr, Mississauga

Tree Canada is a not-for-profit organization and is dedicated to planting and nurturing trees. For 25 years, they’ve engaged communities, governments, corporations and individuals in the pursuit of a greener and healthier living environment for Canadians.

If you are interested in planting a few trees please contact me at petergilkinson@bell.net and indicate the number of adults and children.

The Ontario Region is proud that we can give back to promote environmental stewardship, which is more important than ever as we attempt to address the climate crisis by reducing our carbon footprint.

This is a 2 hour event and we are looking for 25 plus volunteers. There are 125 trees to be planted, so each volunteer or team of volunteers will plant 5 trees. The trees are laid out and everything is provided by Trees Canada.

Please note that proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 is required for in-person attendance to this event. If you intend to attend, please ensure you have your proof of vaccination with you and are willing to show it to a designated volunteer at the event.

In solidarity,

Peter Gilkinson
Director Ontario Region, PIPSC
