Prairie/NWT Regional Labour School 2019

The Prairie/NWT Regional Training Committee is very pleased to announce the 2019 Regional Labour School, consisting of 3 full days of instruction.  Our training event will take place in Edmonton, from May 2 to 4 at the Matrix Hotel.  Stewards are asked to select either Module 1 or Module 2, which will run concurrently

Module 1 (2 Days)

Advanced Training for Experienced Stewards

This training is designed to give experienced stewards updated information and trends on various topics such as duty to accommodate, harassment, performance management, etc.  Stewards will be required to work in groups and to make presentations.

This module is only open to experienced stewards who have represented members, either formally or informally.

Module 2 (2 Days)

Training for New or Inexperienced Stewards

The training provided will be beneficial for new stewards as it will cover best practices when it comes to grievance handling, performance assessment conversations, attending meetings with management, and various other topics.

This module is only open to new or inexperienced stewards.

Module 3 (1 Day)

All stewards will participate in a Mental Health Course that was developed by the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC)
