PIPSC EXPERIENCE:

  • Member of the Board of Directors - Quebec Regional Director since 1998
  • Affiliate member on the FTQ General Council since 2015 Appointment of stewards sitting on committees (addiction, diversity, education, environment, information, pension and insurance plans, occupational health and safety, engagement and so on)
  • Creation of the Task Force on Official Languages; President since 2016
  • Member of the Executive Compensation Committee since 2016 and the PIPSC Expense Committee (2014)
  • Creation of the Status of Women Committee (2016) and the Youth Committee (2015), Quebec Region
  • Starting up “train the trainers” in the Quebec Region since 2015
  • Acting Full-Time Vice-President (2014)
  • President of the AV Group (2011 to 2013) and member of the bargaining team (1999 to 2013)
  • PIPSC Steward (1992 to 2012)
  • Chair of the PIPSC Process and Structure Working Group (2009)

I am proud to submit my candidacy for the position of Vice-President. I will continue to serve you with dedication and live up to my reputation as a builder, leader and unifier. I am committed to addressing your needs, respecting your rights and defending your working conditions on matters such as sick leave, wages, stopping outsourcing, tax fairness and professional integrity.

From 2022 to 2024, I look forward to representing you and defending your interests in all regions, through the following actions:

  • Making our services known to members and developing them as needed
  • Listening to your needs, including those related to the pandemic (telework, safe working conditions, assistance programs, etc.)
  • Working with your employers to prevent psychosocial problems and burnout for members and violence and harassment in the workplace, through awareness campaigns and other means
  • Providing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training
  • Working with the PIPSC President and the Board of Directors, proposing and carrying out mandates that address your needs and concerns
  • Valuing the work of our members by creating and sharing videos on different professional fields
  • Maintaining close collaboration with our union partners, including the FTQ, and expanding collaboration with the CLC
  • Representing and promoting your rights and interests to the federal government and political parties
  • Ensuring that the Board of Directors properly carries out its role while complying with the resolutions carried at the Annual General Meeting
