Historic swearing in of the Right Honourable Mary Simon as Governor General

On behalf of PIPSC members, President Debi Daviau congratulated the Right Honourable Mary Simon on her swearing in as Canada’s new Governor General.

PIPSC members work at Rideau Hall. President Daviau offered her collaboration on measures that build relationships between management at the Office of the Governor General’s Secretary and workers.

The federal government has just announced that it is proposing new measures to help correct the wide-ranging issue of employees having to repay the gross instead of the net amount of a salary overpayment caused by system, administrative or clerical errors.
