Call for Nominations
In accordance with the constitution and by-laws of the Quebec City CP Sub-Group, take notice that one (1) position of President, one (1) position of Secretary, and five (5) positions of Member-at-Large on the Quebec City CP Sub-Group Executive will be filled by election at the 2025 Annual General Meeting to be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Positions are for the remainder of the term, i.e. 1 year.
President’s role: to chair meetings, ensure that the agenda is followed, and that parliamentary procedures and regulations are observed at meetings. Represent the sub-group at various activities.
Secretary's role: to send out notices of sub-group and executive meetings, take minutes of meetings, record attendance at meetings, maintain records, including sub-group and executive correspondence, and forward copies of minutes to the Institute. This person is also responsible for submitting reports as required by Institute and Group by-laws and policies.
Role of active members: to attend executive meetings (one weekday evening or lunchtime, around 4 per year) and pass on information received to their work colleagues.
Nominations can be made in writing (a simple e-mail will suffice) before May 26, 2025, or on the evening of the AGM. Anyone wishing to stand for election but who cannot be there must have confirmed their willingness to do so in writing. All nominations must be proposed by a member in good standing and seconded by another member in good standing. All nominations must be forwarded to the Election Committee (chaired by Denis Arsenault).
