The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada

You voted in large numbers and it is clear: you have resoundingly decided to reject CNL's latest settlement offer. It did not meet the members’ requirements for a fair deal.

This was a democratic process where every vote mattered. We want to thank each member who participated in this important decision. Whether you voted yes or no, your engagement demonstrates the strength of our union and our commitment to making decisions collectively.

Following this outcome, the Institute has served notice to CNL that strike action will continue. Strike activities resumed on Monday, June 23, with targeted actions designed to maintain pressure and focus our efforts while we continue pushing for a fair agreement. We are in this together, and we remain committed to securing meaningful improvements.

We also want to thank the United Steelworkers (USW), who have supported us by sharing space and showing solidarity throughout this round of bargaining. We are so thankful for this generous show of solidarity.

Your bargaining team remains focused, resourced, and ready. We will keep you informed of all developments as we work toward an agreement that properly recognizes your professional contributions to Canada's nuclear safety and security.

In solidarity,

The CRPEG Bargaining Team
