Dear SP members,

We received the note below from the Employer regarding Phoenix and a technical issue that may arise with some members' pay. While the Employer assures us that all members will be notified of this concern and that any errors will be corrected in the next pay (June 28, 2017), we want to ensure all SP Group members are aware of the issue and check their pay stub for any potential errors.

Needless to say, any error (real or potential) in our members' pay is a serious concern to us, and we have already conveyed our concerns to the Employer. This is especially troubling given our previous demands that the Employer ensure salary adjustments resulting from new collective agreements not be impacted by ongoing problems with the Phoenix pay system.

We will update you when further information becomes available. If you have any concerns regarding your pay, please contact the Public Service Pay Centre.

Better Together!

Debi Daviau
President,
PIPSC

Attention: Employees

Please be advised that a technical issue occurred during the processing of mass revisions for the Applied Science and Patent Examination (SP) group which was run on the weekend of June 10th, 2017.

As a result of this technical issue, some employees in the SP group may see an incorrect rate of pay or deductions on their June 14th, 2017 pay stub. This issue is a priority for Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and the corrections will be reflected in the June 28th, 2017 pay stub.

For additional information please contact your departmental compensation advisor or Public Service Pay Centre.

Thank you for your continued support.
