On September 25, 2020 a tentative agreement was signed with the University of Ottawa, completing this round of negotiations. We again thank all the members of the UOITP Group for their support during these negotiations!
This agreement must now be ratified by the UOITP membership. An electronic vote will be held in order to ratify this agreement.
The bargaining team unanimously recommends the acceptance of this tentative agreement.
All regular members in good standing will receive voting instructions by email. Please ensure your membership information is up to date.
The voting will be open from October 15, 2020, to October 23, 2020, at 12:00 PM (ET).

Summary of tentative agreement
A Yes vote means: You are accepting all of the changes proposed in the tentative agreement. Those changes will take place at the date of the signing (except as otherwise noted) and the employer will work to implement salary changes and retroactive pay within a reasonable time. We will keep you informed of expected dates.
A No vote means: You reject the tentative agreement and instruct the bargaining team to pursue further extended negotiations with a high likelihood of heading to the Labour Board for arbitration.
Town hall discussion
You will be invited to join a town hall discussion on October 14th, 2020 and October 21st, 2020 to discuss the tentative agreement. You will receive a separate communication with the meeting details.
