The 78th Prairie/NWT Regional Council (PRC) will be 1.5 days starting on Friday June 10, 2022 and continuing all day Saturday June 11, 2022.

If you are interested in attending the PRC, please contact your respective Branch President by April 10, 2022.

By-Law 11.2 states that “all proposals for amendments to these by-laws shall be submitted in writing to the executive”.  Please forward any proposed by-law amendments to the Prairie/NWT Regional Office Administrator, PIPSC Edmonton Office, no later than Friday April 29, 2022.

In accordance with by-law 6.3.1, a Treasurer shall be elected by the PRC.  The Treasurer is for a two (2) year term. 

In accordance with by-law 6.8.4, the Treasurer shall maintain the financial records of the Region as required by Institute policy, prepare a financial report for each meeting of the Regional Executive and each Regional Council of the Region, submit a detailed financial statement to the Institute as required, and prepare the request for the annual allowance of the Region. Copies of the financial report shall be available to all members of the Region.

In accordance with by-law 6.3.3, an election for one (1) member of the regional executive, for a one (1) year term, will take place at the PRC.  Members of the following branches are eligible to run for these positions:  Northern Manitoba, Prince Albert, Denwood, Northeastern Alberta, Lethbridge, Suffield, Lacombe/Red Deer, and the NWT.  If you are interested in putting your name forward for these positions, please contact Corry Graham at cgraham@pipsc.ca  Nominations will also be taken from the floor of the PRC.

In accordance with by-law 6.8.5, members-at-Large shall perform such duties as may be assigned by the Executive and shall liaise with their respective branches as required
