The 2024 elections to the group executive were conducted by the national elections committee at the request of the group. An initial four (4) weeks long nomination period resulted in only 1 nomination each for two (2) of the six (6) positions that were vacant. Both nominations were elected by acclamation without opposition :
Zacharia Hans – Vice-President (2-year term)
Nikhil Gandhi – Secretary (2-year term)
In compliance with By-Laws 7.2.2 of the BCFNHA group Constitution, an additional two (2) weeks long call for nomination was communicated to the group members resulting in three (3) nominations for Member-at-large positions. All three (3) nominations were elected by acclamation without opposition :
Cynthia Russell - member at large (2 year term)
Priyanka Prabakaran - member at large (2 year term)
Sara Pyke - member at large (2 year term)
The position of treasurer remains vacant during this year election. As per By-Laws 6.7.2 of the BCFNHA group Constitution, the executive members can select an eligible member of the group to fill the vacancy (by appointment) until next year elections.
The newly elected candidates to the BCFNHA group executive take office immediately.
