The PDSP is a voluntary plan that provides eligible public service pensioners and their dependents with coverage for specific dental services and supplies not covered by public healthcare. Retirees can choose to opt out of this plan. The benefits provided under the PDSP are similar to those provided under the Public service dental care plan. It is administered by Sun Life and has different annual limits. The PDSP is funded by contributions from both plan members and the employer.
