Earlier this year, in its 2018 Budget, the federal government announced its intention to replace the catastrophic Phoenix pay system with a new, functional alternative.

On September 19th the federal government officially began the process to replace Phoenix. Scott Brison, Treasury Board president, announced a procurement process to plan, design and purchase a new system suggesting a Spring 2019 implementation.

Last week I had the opportunity to meet with the National Capital Region Liberal Caucus. I was grateful for the warm reception I received and know that many of the Members of Parliament rearranged their schedules to be able to attend. OTTAWA, April 3, 2018 – CRA has confirmed that a solution to the ongoing Phoenix issues is available. CRA has completed analysis on their corporate administration system (CAS) and it has the capacity to pay all CRA employees.
